The Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa (DTCA) proudly participated in the 7th Diaspora Investment Summit, an event that convened key stakeholders, policymakers, and investors from across the globe to strengthen Nigeria’s engagement with its diaspora community and promote strategic investments in national development.
The Director-General of the DTCA, Col. Garba Moyi Isa (Rtd.), led the Directorate’s delegation to the summit, reaffirming the agency’s dedication to leveraging diaspora expertise, partnerships, and resources to drive sustainable national growth. His presence underscored the DTCA’s central role in coordinating technical cooperation and facilitating the transfer of knowledge and skills that support Nigeria’s development priorities.
Also, in attendance was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dunoma Umar Ahmed, whose participation highlighted the Ministry’s continued commitment to strengthening diaspora relations and advancing Nigeria’s strategic foreign policy objectives through investment and collaboration.
During the summit, discussions centered on expanding opportunities for diaspora investment in critical sectors—including technology, agriculture, infrastructure, education, and healthcare —while also exploring innovative frameworks for technical knowledge exchange. The DG emphasized the importance of aligning diaspora-driven initiatives with national development goals and the need for sustained partnerships between government institutions and Nigerians abroad.
The DTCA reiterated its readiness to collaborate with stakeholders to harness technical expertise within the diaspora, strengthen institutional capacity, and support the implementation of impactful development programs.
