On Friday, 5th June, 2026, the Director-General of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa (DTCA), Col. Garba Moyi Isa (Rtd.), accompanied by the Director of Human Resources Management, Mr. Kevin Gambo YILME, paid a courtesy and congratulatory visit to the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, at her office in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, Abuja, following her appointment as Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, the DTCA delegation presented a congratulatory plaque and card to the Honourable Minister and reaffirmed the Directorate’s commitment to supporting the Ministry in advancing Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives.
The Director-General highlighted the strategic role of the DTCA in promoting South-South and technical cooperation, as well as its contributions towards the realization of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through international partnerships, capacity-building initiatives, and the strengthening of Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement across Africa and beyond.
In her response, the Honourable Minister expressed appreciation to the Director-General and his delegation for the thoughtful gesture and goodwill visit. She commended the Directorate’s efforts in fostering technical cooperation and sustainable development across Africa and assured the delegation of her support and collaboration in ensuring the effective implementation of the DTCA’s mandate, programmes, and initiatives.
The visit further strengthened the existing relationship between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the DTCA, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing Nigeria’s development priorities, regional cooperation, and international partnerships.
