On Tuesday, 2nd June 2026, the Director-General of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa (DTCA), Col. Garba Moyi Isa (Rtd), paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Ayo Hulayat Omidiran, at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, the Director-General and his delegation held an executive session with the Committee on Defence and Foreign Affairs, led by its Chairman, Mr. Bobboi Bala Kaigama, alongside, Mr. Pam Bot-Mang, Plateau State Representative at the FCC

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between the Directorate and the Federal Character Commission, particularly on ensuring strict adherence to the principles of Federal Character in recruitment, appointments, and promotion processes within the Directorate.

The engagement provided an opportunity to reaffirm the Directorate’s commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, equity, and compliance with the constitutional provisions guiding public service administration in Nigeria.

Members of the Director-General’s delegation included:

* Mr. Kevin Gambo YILME, Director, Human Resources Management;
* Mr. Ekundayo Jacob, Deputy Director, Human Resources Management; and
* Mrs. Mary Eddie Orok, Head of Protocol and Public Relations.

The visit underscores the Directorate’s dedication to promoting good governance, institutional accountability, and adherence to established federal policies in the discharge of its mandate.
